1 Day CSR Health, Safety & Environmental Awareness course was originally administered by the Construction Industry Training Board in 1997, and is now governed by the Construction Employer’s Federation.
The Construction Skills Register (CSR) is a register of construction workers who have completed the industry approved CSR Health, Safety & Environmental Awareness course.
The course has been designed to cover a variety of relevant topics and issues and can be attended by anyone wishing to develop a sound knowledge of health and safety who is working within the construction industry.
CSR aims to raise health and safety standards and reduce accidents in the industry by ensuring that all construction workers undertake this training every 4 years.
- Please note that from the 1st September 2019 all occupational assessments will be removed and applicants for new trade cards will require evidence of NVQ level 2 or higher. Current cards will continue to be renewed by completion of the 1 day course.
- An Experienced Worker card will be available for those who do not have a qualification but who have experience within the construction industry. To be able to apply for this card applicants must complete 1 day course, provide proof of registration for an NVQ and have a signed employer declaration confirming experience.
- The new Labourer’s card introduced on the 1st April 2019 requires a signed employer declaration and carries the CSR/CSCS logo.
